India and its culture, people, and language have been absolutely magnificent. Besides ordinary days, AFS India and Shishukunj have organized many excursions—visits to Rajwada, and especially the nearby sites of Maheshwar and Mandu, have been among the highlights so far. School is another of my favorite experiences. It’s great to be able to learn Hindi in such an intensive setting so I can communicate with my family more effectively. What has been equally beneficial, however, is the chance that attending an Indian school offers to forge cross-cultural relationships.
