Sunbeam School, Varuna, Varanasi hosted 13 students and 2 teachers from Strawberry Field High School, Chandigarh on a domestic class exchange program which extended from 24th to 29th April 2019.

During the 6 days exchange program, the students from Strawberry Field High School were exposed to a wide array of activities. It started with the short introduction of the students in the school assembly. The students hosted gave a presentation of their school and city.

To give students the cultural experience of Banaras, the host school organized a visit to the revered Ghats of Dashaswamedh, where they witnessed the Ganga Aarti, as well as Subah-e-Banaras at the Assi Ghat. It was an enthralling experience for the students.

An excursion trip to Sarnath was also organized which gave the students an opportunity to explore all the exhibits. Moreover, to give them an idea about the art and culture of the city, the students also paid a visit to saree printing factory, “Swastik Dye” at the Chandpur Industrial Estate.

Apart from the cultural visits, during the course of the program, the students of Sunbeam School, Varuna also organized an evening of cultural programs where the students hosted presented Bhangra performance. They witnessed a grand performance of the noted Kathak dancer Pt. Vishal Krishna, which energized the audience and was very well received by the students.

The exchange program strengthened the learning experiences among the students of Strawberry Field High School and helped them in understanding the diversity in terms of culture and people.
