“This was my first time where I had stayed in someone else’s house. I was both nervous and excited to stay with my host family in Sri Lanka. Though we met for the first time, the family gave me great love and a feeling of relationship. My host family was keen to show me their culture and heritage. We visited Sputnik International Education Center which is one of the top Japanese Language Institution. They have a branch ‘Sputnik Girls Home’ which shelters 20 abandoned and underprivileged girls. I also got to attend a conference where we discussed ‘Disaster Management’ and ‘Climate Change’. We visited ‘Mahinda Rajapaksha College’ which is a beautiful eco-friendly school. Interactions with Educators, students were very impacting. It was a jouney full of cultural learnings and knowledge exchange.”
