The MIRAI-Setu Program 2025, aimed at fostering friendships and to promote mutual understanding between Indian graduates and Japanese companies, increase the number of personnel who will contribute to the economic and social development of both Japan and India, and thereby promote the circulation of human resources between the two countries.
Programs Details:
- Participants: Undergraduate and graduate university students and young professionals.
- Program Duration: 29 days
- Program Dates: 1st –29th October, 2025
- Program Mode: In-person
- Targets: Age 18+ Indian undergraduate / graduate students
Application requirements
Participants must:
- Be mentally and physically healthy and able to adapt well in a new environment;
- Understand the purpose of the program and have knowledge and skills in one of the designated themes;
- Be able to engage in assigned group activities;
- Students who have not started job hunting, have deep interest in Japan and desire to contribute to the economic and academic development of both Japan and India;
- Be an Indian citizen and able to obtain a visa to visit Japan;
- Be able to submit a copy of their passport by the end of July 2025.
Program Highlights:
Japanese Company Visit: During the company visits, Indian participants will visit Japanese IT and manufacturing companies and start-ups, and expand their understanding of Japanese business culture through exchanges with company managers and staff. They will also learn about Japanese companies, including the distinctive challenges and opportunities they face.
Internships: During the internship, participants will experience Japanese business culture and working style by actually working at a Japanese company.
Inter-University Exchanges: Inter-university exchanges provide opportunities for Indian students to visit universities in various parts of Japan and interact with Japanese students through campus tours and academic exchange events.
