Between Queens College, Indore and Sunbeam School Lahartara (Date- 7th April – 13th April)

“A team of 9 girls with 1 teacher from Sunbeam School Lahartara reached Indore on 7th April 2018 under AFS India Regional Class Exchange Program. Participants from Queens College have already been hosted by Sunbeam School Lahartara in December 2018. The program schedule encompassed Interaction with the Principal, staffers of the school, attend regular classes on some days, art and craft session where they got time to showcase their creativity, hostel coaching and many more. They also had dance session and Swimming session.
Few of the cultural visits included- visit to Sarafa, Nakhrali Dhani where they got to see the beautiful Rajasthani culture, Mahakaal and Iskon temple at Ujjain. The students also had a city tour that was planned out where the girls were taken to Khajrana, Lal Bagh, Chhatri, Annapurna Temple, Kaanch Temple.
Overall it was a wonderful experience. The students not only got to learn a different culture but also got a chance to study in school and know about the school culture. It was an experience worth lifetime. The girls came back as much more confident individuals with some wonderful friends to look up to. Thank you once again to the wonderful team of Queens College for hosting students from Sunbeam Lahartara. Thank you AFS India for making this happen.”
