By Varsha Parekh, Volunteer, Gandhinagar Chapter

Continuing the community service programs in Gandhinagar, the volunteers collected around 4400 rupees for the Khichdi distribution program among the needy people on 27th December 2018. The program started from lighting a Diya and offering prayer to Maa Annapurna, who is considered to be the Goddess of food. After worshiping her, we started with the distribution of khichdi which was full of green vegetables, dry fruits, and ghee. Our host students, Ippo and Kaan also joined and served the food to ones in need. The food was distributed among 150 people. All the volunteers were very happy and contented to be a part of this community service program.
