By Pritee Mistry, Volunteer, Vadodara Chapter

We (Jayesh & Pritee Mistry), were given to understand by Mr. Shashikant Sharma, our close friend as well as a freelance surveyor, of the “Shahid Shaurya Katha” to be held at M. S. University pavilion to create awareness about the “Martyrs” amongst the youth. To make it more memorable the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara had organized “Katha” as well as wall painting at their pavilion from 15th to 18th December.

To create awareness of “AFS Intercultural Programs India” in Vadodara chapter amongst university students, we had taken initiative for the wall painting with the help of Sonal Mehta and other active volunteers along with exchange students, apart from young artist – Ms. Roshni & Pankti’s brilliant assistance, a wall of 8 X 6 feet was painted. We felt proud as an active volunteer that our painting was noticed by media and newspaper and during the period of time it would definitely create awareness amongst youths of Vadodara.
