“It’s been more than a month in the United States now, and it still feels so surreal. Its still hard to believe that I could make it this far and now it’s a new life and culture. When I landed in Seattle, my host family was waiting for me with a extremely huge beautiful poster and welcomed me with warm hugs and smiles. Pretty soon after my arrival I celebrated my 17th birthday with them. It was my first birthday away from home, yet they made me feel like home.
Each day I learn a little more about my own country and culture. It is Amazing to see how beautifully different we humans are and yet to bonded and close to each other. I am cherishing each and every day since the time I have landed.”
